- PRESS RELEASE
The International Furniture & Design Exhibition (INFDEX) 2009 is set to be the biggest interior design and home décor show seen in Qatar, as the revitalised show bursting full of innovative ideas for the homeowners of today and tomorrow takes place at Doha Exhibition Center from 21 to 24 October 2009.
'If unique is what you seek, INFDEX '09 will be the only interior design and home furnishing event you need to attend. We have traveled the world to find exciting designs to ensure INFDEX '09 is more than ever a magnet for the finest designers, manufacturers and retailers eager to reach Gulf markets,' said Mr. Karim Zarka, Acting CEO Qatar Expo.
Reflecting the desires and issues affecting today's homeowners, INFDEX '09 will offer effective solutions to inspire visitors to make the most of the homes, reduce their cost of living and offer simple, creative ways to cut their carbon footprints
Continuing its promise to bring 'Innovation not imitation, INFDEX '09 expects leading designers from 30 countries to present the latest trends. Already participants from Italy, Lebanon, Germany, U.A.E., Spain, Philippines, U.K., India, K.S.A. and Qatar have confirmed they will be presenting an insight into the latest interior and exterior design fashions and trends.
Exhibitors at this year's show will range from big brand regional and international household names, to global style leaders (Fendi is rumored), and up-and-coming designers, all competing for the 'INFDEX Creative Awards' prizes sponsored by the show. One thing they all have in common is that they are bringing the latest home décor ideas to 'show and sell' at Qatar's largest and longest established home furnishing show.
'The Qatari real estate project sector still boasts 1,000 office, apartment, housing compound, hospital and other projects under construction with a total value of $220bn. At a time when the economies of many countries are struggling, INFDEX gives exhibitors direct access to this potentially valuable emerging market,' adds Karim Zarka.
INFDEX '09 takes place over 4 long days from Wednesday 21 October - Saturday 24 October at Doha Exhibition Center. Opening hours are 4pm - 10pm each day.
