Acer awarded Superbrand status in Middle East

This award is given to companies that offer significant benefits to their customers and whose brands are associated with excellence.

The award reinforces Acer's ongoing success in the Middle East, where it has built one of the strongest and most-widely recognized technology brands in the market. New data from IDC shows that Acer grew by more than 27% in 2002, rising to the number two market share ranking in the notebook space and number four in the overall ranking in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Companies are awarded Superbrand status after evaluation by an independent jury of experts, each of whom is selected on the basis of his or her expertise and knowledge of particular markets and sectors. Only brands that score high marks with the jury qualify for the prestigious Superbrand status.
