Bahraini company celebrates global record

The Management of local company - Mohammed Jalal and Sons, (MJS) Automotive Division along with UK luxury car manufacturer, Jaguar, have announced that they are jointly celebrating a global record year in Jaguar sales with over 130,000 vehicles in sold in 2002.

This is the fifth consecutive record sales year of Jaguar cars.

Making the announcement, Mr John Murray, General Manager of MJS in Bahrain, quoted the General Manager of Jaguar, UK saying, "These figures are the result of a product led expansion of the last couple of years with the introduction of the popular S-Type and the newest addition, the Jaguar X-Type which achieved the status of fastest selling Jaguar ever, and topped 100,000 sales since its 2001 launch."

He added, "Both the X-Type and the S-Type have proven very popular within the Bahrain market place and has helped our sales to increase in line with this global pattern."
