Accor launches third ibis in Dubai at prime site in Al Barsha

Soft opened for less than a month, the 480-room ibis Al Barsha has already scored a success with visitors to Dubai seeking quality rooms in a convenient location, at a rate that meets most budgets.
According to General Manager, Philippe Montaubin, the ibis promise is a commitment to service at value for money pricing, and it is a strategy that strikes a chord in the current economic climate, "While Dubai is a destination on many travellers' wish-list, high hotel rates in the past have to a degree limited the market to those who are travelling on company expenses or holidaymakers with a luxury budget," he said.
"With ibis, we offer the comfort and service standards expected in Dubai - which has a reputation of delivering the very best - but our guests do not over-pay for facilities which they may not use," he added.
The ibis Al Barsha has 378 double rooms, 100 twin-bed rooms and two special needs rooms across six floors, and all feature IDD telephones, satellite TV, high speed Internet and WIFI connections, as well as 24-hour laundry service and all day snack service.
Other facilities range from WIFI in the lobby and public areas to an indoor car park, complimentary safety deposit boxes at reception, an airport shuttle service, plus a variety of dining options including the 'Baharat' Restaurant with an international buffet offering flavours of the Mediterranean, with a touch of the Orient.
Guests can also enjoy the convenience of 24-hour dining at the 'Café Bonjour', plus live music at the 'Casa Latina' Latin Bar and a handy meeting venue for both business and pleasure in the 'Madison' Lobby Bar.
The hotel was brought to life on the day of the Dubai World Cup horse race, and celebrated its one-month birthday with corporate guests, leisure partners and invited in house guests, Accor senior management and people who assisted in the build up to the birth of Ibis Al Barsha and all this was done in the presence of media on April 29th, Philippe says, "We will have many more of these gathering leading to an official inauguration party."
