University of Sharjah, Baker IDI Institute sign MoU

The Ruler of Sharjah, HH. Sheik Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al Qassimi welcomed HE. Professor David de Kretser, the Governor of Victoria, Australia, and other distinguished guests for an MoU signing between The University of Sharjah's Academy of Scientific Research on behalf of the Sharjah Medical Excellence Cluster and Baker IDI Institute in Melbourne, Australia.
Professor de Kretser is currently touring the UAE to conduct high-level business talks amongst a broad range of business professionals including those within the medical, construction and educational fields, and to build upon the strong relationships that already exist between the UAE and the State of Victoria, Australia.
The Governor's visit has been organised by the Victorian Government Business Office, Dubai and will conclude on 4th May 2009.

The Victorian Government Business Office (VGBO) in Dubai was established in 1997 by the State Government of Victoria to promote Victorian trade in the UAE and other GCC countries and inwards investment and inwards tourism to Victoria, Australia. It is one of eleven Victorian overseas offices.
The VGBO can provide a range of services to Victorian companies to help them identify opportunities and to enter the market in a cost-effective way. For local companies and organisations, it can source products and services, organise business visit programs, provide business introductions and assist in investing in Victoria.
