- PRESS RELEASE
In the global niche arena of luxury hotels, The Ritz-Carlton aims to provide each guest with outstanding memories through a combination of stunning service, personal relationships and world-class facilities in exquisite surrounds.
With a private lagoon and 600 metres of secluded white sandy beach, the Bahrain property expands The Ritz-Carlton Group's Middle East management portfolio to four, joining hotels in Doha, Dubai and Sharm el Sheikh.
In addition to the new villas the seven-storey property offers accommodation in 22 suites with butler service, 43 Ritz-Carlton Club rooms, 17 studios and 182 Deluxe rooms. It has already played host to each of the Gulf Heads of State, in addition to world leaders including Nelson Mandela and Jacques Chirac.
With some of the finest conference and banqueting facilities in the Gulf, The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa also has a large selection of meeting and reception rooms - suitable for hosting up to 1,000 - all stunningly appointed and equipped with the latest high technology.
Visiting The Ritz-Carlton's new property in Bahrain, Simon Cooper, President and Chief Operating Officer from the company's worldwide Atlanta headquarters in America was keen to stress: "Ritz-Carlton sets its standards on a global basis. We have our own particular way".
"By taking over a property that already exists - as we have done here - it is more difficult to create a change than to start one, but this is the finest property in Bahrain and we will compete and compare not locally or regionally, but with the very best hotels in the Far East, Europe and America."
Cooper says that The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain Hotel and Spa is an impressive and important addition to the collection of five star properties and resorts managed by the group around the world.
"A showplace attraction with excellent facilities just 10 minutes from Manama and on the beach it provides the opportunity to attract both business and pleasure visitors," he says.
With luxury hotels worldwide all providing select facilities ranging from international restaurants to business and fitness centres, from royal suites to shopping arcades and many other amenities, Cooper says that The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company clearly recognises with the additional need and desire to provide guests with a memorable visit.
"People can buy convenience but they cannot buy relationships and experiences. Ritz-Carlton is in the business of lifting expectations and of providing memories, outstanding memories."
