The Fabulous Singapore Stopover package is offered to Singapore Airlines customers from now until 30 September 2009, provided that tickets are booked by 15 June. Travelers need to pay a very small amount of money for the first night from a list of six hotels.

For a little more indulgence, visitors can also choose to stay in other hotels at first night. These special first night rates are based per person on a twin-share basis.

Jason Ong, Area Director for Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board, said:
"The Fabulous Singapore Stopover is a key example of the Singapore Tourism Board's '2009 Reasons to Enjoy Singapore Campaign'. With the slew of value-for-money offers, 2009 is definitely the year to visit Singapore."

"Singapore is a leading global aviation hub and a popular stop over destination. Since the launch of the Fabulous Singapore Stopover package, we have seen numerous visitors from the Middle East take advantage of this offer to experience Singapore for virtually nothing," added Ong.

The Stopover package covers exclusive deals on hotel accommodation, airport transfers and entry to some of Singapore's leading tourist attractions including Sentosa Island, Singapore Zoo, Malay Heritage Centre, National Orchid Garden, Peranakan Museum, Singapore River Bumboat Tour and Jurong Bird Park.

As part of the package, customers will each be given Changi vouchers, which they can use to pay for purchases at the many retail and food and beverage outlets at Changi Airport. They can also take advantage of free ground transfers to and from Changi Airport and unlimited use of the Singapore Airlines' "Hop-On Bus" - an air-conditioned bus service that allows customers to visit over 20 major attractions in Singapore.

Other goodies in the package include a 50% dining discount at designated food outlets at selected hotels, a free SingTel Prepaid Mobile hi!Card, which customers can use to make calls, and Singapore Airlines Boarding Pass Privileges, which offer discounts on shopping, dining, sightseeing tours, tourist attractions and car rentals when customers present their Singapore Airlines boarding passes.

Lim Meow Seng, Singapore Airlines General Manager (Gulf), said, "The Fabulous Singapore Stopover is of great value for any passenger intending to travel to the Far East and Australia/New Zealand. As this offer is sold worldwide, we have seen a lot of interest since the launch with rooms going at an amazing rate. I would advise passengers to book early either through their travel agents or online at singaporeair.com."
