Leading entertainment centre opens at The Avenues

The event was a celebrated occasion, perhaps due to the fact that on its opening, the centre became the largest dedicated entertainment destination in the country.

As would befit the inauguration of a new outlet geared around providing the best in family-oriented fun, visitors during the official opening were greeted by jugglers and clowns, who impressed with their respective acrobatic skills and slapstick comedy capers.

The 6,900 square metres of the new centre was also suitably attired for the occasion and Magic Planet was in no doubt about whom they considered to be the most important people in this ensemble, with customers being guided along a red carpet that had been specially rolled out for them.

Silvio Leidtke, General Manager of Magic Planet, was on-hand at the opening to show guests exactly what was on offer at the new outlet. "We are very excited about our new venture here in Kuwait with our joint venture partner the M. H. Alshaya Company" he said, speaking at the event.

He added:

"Magic Planet is now the largest family entertainment centre operating in Kuwait and we are looking forward to welcoming established gaming fans, who will be spoilt for choice here, as well as new customers who haven't yet experienced arcade simulators."

Magic Planet, is part of Majid Al Futtaim Leisure, and has already established a strong presence across the region, with outlets in the UAE, Egypt, Oman and Bahrain.

The new centre promises to offer something for gaming enthusiasts of all persuasions and ages. Those who like their fun to be high tempo and exhilarating need look no further than the adrenaline-pumping 'Robocoaster,' which uses robotic arms for a roller coaster-like-experience.

Heart-stopping moments can also be had on the 'Grasshopper,' a ride where thrill-seekers are strapped into a chair to the top of a vertical shaft, taken to the top, then released for a swift vertical descent punctuated by a series of stops on the way down.

Other customers feeling energetic and fancying a challenge will have the opportunity to try their hand at clambering up a virtual tree at the 'Climbing Palms' attraction.

Those visitors preferring a more sedate entertainment experience shouldn't be disappointed either, as they can choose from a host of seated arcade games and video competitions; all featuring advanced software and graphics. A twelve-lane bowling alley is also likely to be a focal point for friends and families who want their enjoyment combined with gentle exercise.
