The Trophy celebration was held at Barclays Egypt's headquarters and the Trophy moved to Wadi Degla where the club invited its members and a large group of media professionals and their families, as well as the bank's clients and staff, to enjoy an entertainment program provided by the bank.
The program included entertainment activities for children as well as suitable activities for the entire family, such as competitions, matches and a football skills contest.
The event allowed all participants to take commemorative photographs with the Trophy as well as enjoying a draw to win exclusive FA Premier League prizes, in addition to a special draw for the media to win an original T-shirt signed by the Egyptian footballer Amr Zaki.
On the day after its arrival, the Trophy moved to the City Stars shopping mall where the bank also allowed all visitors to take commemorative photographs with the Trophy in addition to organizing a prize draw.
The Trophy's last stop was in Alexandria where the Sporting Club received it thoughout the day and provided the opportunity to club members, together with the bank's clients and staff received the Trophy and enjoyed the special program. A special celebration was also held for Barclays Egypt's clients at the bank's newly opened Premier Flagship branch in Alexandria.
"We all know how Egyptians love football, particularly the FA Premier League which has the greatest popularity in Egypt especially since there are Egyptian players participating in the League such as Amr Zaki and Mido.,"
said Omniya El-Noseiry, Chief Liaison Officer at Barclays Bank.
Omnia El-Noseiry added "in previous years, the trophy's visit was very well received by the Egyptian public, and the number of visitors coming to view the trophy has increased and more people came to have their picture taken with the trophy. Barclays Egypt is keen on providing several opportunities for its clients to participate in this celebration, and therefore; we will strive to bring and host the trophy to Egypt every year to give both the bank's clients and football-loving members of the public un-forgetful opportunities."
The Barclays Premiership League Trophy sponsored by Barclays is not only one of the most recognized symbols in football. It was also made by the same Jeweller who designed the British Royal Crown. The Trophy stands 3 foot, 5 inches height and weighs a whopping 55 lbs.
The FA Premier League Trophy visit to Egypt is a very important event for football fans as the Premier League is now the most popular domestic football league, with more than 20 clubs competing under the sponsorship of Barclays Bank.
