This is one of the most popular destinations for travellers from Kuwait and will help to provide additional seating capacity in time for the busy summer schedule.

Commencing from early June, this destination will be added to the list of existing popular destinations that Wataniya Airways serves, which include Dubai, Bahrain, Cairo and Beirut. Tickets are on sale with immediate effect.

"I am tremendously excited that our next aircraft will be delivered in time for us to launch this new service to Jordan. Amman is an ideal destination for business and leisure travellers and we are confident that our exceptional service with competitive prices will provide real value for money."

said Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar, Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways.

The route expansion is made possible by the arrival of the airline's third brand new Airbus A320 aircraft from Toulouse, France, scheduled for delivery in late May 2009 and ready to commence flying the routes in early June. The additional aircraft will be customized to the same high standard that has become the hallmark of the airline since its launch in January of this year. The Wataniya Airways aircraft have the lowest seating capacity of any scheduled airline using this aircraft with only 122 seats offering more leg room onboard its Premium Economy and First Class cabins.

"Kuwait and Jordan have enjoyed close historical ties and this relationship is strengthened further by Wataniya Airways providing such stylish passage for travelers between the two countries. This constitutes a great opportunity for the Jordanian community residing in Kuwait, business travel generally as well as Kuwaitis travelling to Jordan for leisure, and I very much welcome this new venture," said Kuwait's Ambassador to Jordan, Sheikh Faisal Al-Humoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah.
