Graham Honeybill, General Manager, says:
"Rakbank is constantly looking to expand its branch network to offer convenience and service to customers where they need them. Banks generally tend to lean towards commercial districts when it comes to branch distribution, but we identified a real need in the residential area of Mirdif for more banking services to meet residents' requirements."
The branch will not only serve Mirdif residents, but also neighbouring residential areas such as Warqaa, Mizhar and Muhaisnah, which are within very close proximity.
These areas hold a substantial residential community served by relatively few banks at present, forcing many to leave their neighbourhoods and head to the closest commercial centre to get access to banking services.
"The area represents a large number of residents with a good mix of UAE Nationals and expatriates," adds Honeybill. "And with so many development initiatives in infrastructure and entertainment already in progress in the area, it is expected to become an even more prominent part of Dubai and we expect consistently high footfall in the new branch."
Rakbank serves its customers through 26 branches spread across the UAE, complemented by 24-service available through both phone and online banking services. Rakbank's Mirdif branch is located within the Central Building next to Mirdif Mosque.
