Enterprise Risk Management and Corporate Governance Seminar to convene

The Bahrain Insurance Association (BIA) two-day seminar on 'Enterprise Risk Management & Corporate Governance: Present Challenges & the Financial Crisis' is set to convene tomorrow, May 6 2009 at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Manama.

The seminar will be held in association with the General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), and under the patronage of the Central Bank of Bahrain,

The seminar is expected to draw a large pool of participants representing mid to top-level management in the regional banking and financial sector, insurance & reinsurance sector.

The seminar topics—which will be presented by top experts and insurance industry professionals—have been carefully selected to ensure expediency in light of global economic market conditions. The Keynote Address is entitled "Impact of Global Financial Crisis and Corporate Governance Challenges" and will be delivered by Mr. Saleh A H Hussain, President, Saleh Hussain Consultancy.

Tomorrow's seminar sessions also include "Enterprise Risk Management" by Mr. Asad Jafree, Executive Manager, and Group Head Financial Services Risk Management at Ernst &Young; and "Corporate Governance" by Mr. I.G. Chandran, Partner in Charge - Advisory KPMG.
