The routes launched today commence from June 1st and include non-stop flights from Kuwait to Delhi, Mumbai, Sana'a, and non-stop flights between Bahrain and Sana'a, the first non-stop service between the two cities.
The airline also announced frequency increases for non-stop flights between Dubai and Kuwait, from the current four times a day to six times a day, bringing more choice and flexibility to business travelers.
Frequencies from Dubai to Bahrain will increase as well from two to three flights per day. However, new regulatory restrictions mean that existing services between Dubai and Delhi, Mumbai, Sana and Salalah, with effect 1st June will now operate with an intermediate stop in Kuwait. The regulatory changes mean that services to Cochin and Khartoum will no longer be available to customers starting from June 1st.
Jazeera Airways CEO Andrew Cowen said; "Despite the financial crisis, Jazeera Airways is focused on growing its network and continuing to provide new routes in the region and lower fares. These new routes and increased frequencies follow an increase in demand for lower fares by both leisure and business travelers."
"The Dubai Kuwait route is great example for this increase in demand for lower fares as businesses now seek to lower their travel expenses without lowering their quality and on-time performance expectations. They have turned to Jazeera Airways for both," he added.
The new routes follow a recently opened series of full service retail outlets in Kuwait, Dubai, Bahrain, Doha and Lebanon, with more to follow at Jazeera's other key destinations.
New fare structures
Jazeera Airways also announced four fare structures that bring both low fares and flexibility to Jazeera Airways business and leisure customers.
- Jazeera Plus fare: Offers customers flight flexibility, additional baggage allowance, lounge access and a range of in-flight amenities.
- Freedom fare: Allows for flexible, time-friendly travel, and flight changes permitted up to three hours prior to departure.
- Jazeera Light fare: Lower fare while still offering ticket changes up to three hours prior to departure for a fee and the fare difference.
- Jazeera Easy fare: Lowest fare available, for customers with a set plan and looking to take advantage of the lowest available fares in the Middle East.
