Formula One puts Abu Dhabi in ATM fast lane

The Yas Island track being built by Aldar in the UAE capital for the November 1s t inaugural Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has emerged as a major visitor highlight at Arabian Travel Market 2009 - the Middle East's premier travel and tourism event.

A model of the track and the Yas Island development, which includes seven hotels Aldar is planning to open in time for the race, is on display in the Abu Dhabi pavilion and captured the attention of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Emirates airline who opened the show.

After receiving a project brief from Ahmed Hussein, Deputy Director General, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) and Paul Bell of Aldar Hospitality, Sheikh Ahmed commented:

"I look forward to seeing the action on November 1."


ADTA and 40 of its stakeholder partners make up the largest pavilion at Arabian Travel Market 2009-05-05.
