Region's first-ever Boutique Clubhouse and Hotel set for The Montgomerie, Dubai

This announcement, which was made at a special ground breaking ceremony, marks the launch of the final phase of construction on what is to be one of the region's finest residential golf facilities.

Slated to be completed in 2004, The Montgomerie, Dubai Clubhouse will feature 17 deluxe rooms and suites that will provide boutique hotel style accommodation in a number of configurations including suites and interconnecting rooms. Additionally, there will be several fully furnished and serviced villas and maisonettes adjacent to the Clubhouse for short-term stay.

"The Clubhouse serves to enrich the unique golfing experience at The Montgomerie, Dubai and the hotel component is an example of the range of modern facilities on offer within the upscale and very smart environment," said Ken McIntyre, the newly appointed General Manager of The Montgomerie, Dubai

"Since opening in April last year, The Montgomerie, Dubai is emerging as one of the Middle East's premier golf facilities and will be further enhanced when we complete in the first half of next year," he continued.

Ken McIntyre added: "We have pioneered a new trend in golfing facilities with the introduction of a boutique Clubhouse-hotel. The idea is to maximise the value of our Citizenship (membership) programme to our existing and future Citizens, while at the same time provide access to other visitors on a limited but unfettered basis. Visitors choosing to stay at the Club will be entitled to Temporary Citizenship for the duration of their stay."

In addition to accommodation, the Clubhouse boasts a range of amenities which include a golf shop with an extensive range of apparel and golf equipment, a health club comprising a well-equipped gymnasium, treatment rooms for massage, a steam room with plunge pool and an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the prestigious 18th hole of The Montgomerie Golf Course. Other leisure facilities include a juice bar cafe, a 'brasserie deluxe' style restaurant and bar, snooker room, cigar room and multi-purpose areas for private functions and meetings.

Another outstanding development from EMAAR Properties, The Montgomerie is an 18-hole par 72 Championship Golf Course designed by Colin Montgomerie in association with Desmond Muirhead and managed by Troon Golf. Covering over two hundred acres of landscaped setting, this spectacular course features 79 bunkers, water features and some exclusive characteristics including the world's largest green. An added attraction is The Montgomerie Academy, which offers world-class practise facilities and innovative coaching programmes.
