A key focus of L'Oreal Paris's fashion agenda is its ongoing role as the Official Makeup Artist for Dubai Fashion Week. This year, between April 5th and April 9th, as DFW enters its fifth season and the fashionistas flock together once more in the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, to see and be seen in the latest trends, L'Oreal Paris will once again take centre stage for the Autumn/Winter 2009 Collections.

By attracting increasingly high profile designers, DFW has successfully captured the attention of the world's press, giving L'Oreal the perfect platform to showcase its "Star Secrets" range, setting the trend for the latest makeup trends and demonstrating what women want in the Middle East. After its sensational success at last year's DFW, L'Oreal Paris is ready to stride the catwalk with complete confidence, creating a star-studded vision of sophistication and style.

Violaine Rousselot, Group Product Manager, L'Oreal Paris explains:

"Dubai has become a hotspot for fashion artists to showcase their originality and creativity. L'Oreal Paris has a unique understanding of beauty, style and vogue, and will be unveiling a packed portfolio to delight the media fashionistas and encapsulate the spirit of this fashion extravaganza."

L'Oreal Paris has hundreds of makeup artists working within the world of fashion, and leading the team at Dubai Fashion Week will be the inspirational Alexis Dralet - lead make-up artist and coordinator for L'ORÉAL Paris at the international Cannes Film Festival since 1997 and the creative genius behind the looks for Kylie's Kylie X World Tour and the launch of the new James Bond movie.

Dralet will use his expertise and celebrity know-how to create a uniquely magical, glittering look to compliment the glamour of the Autumn/Winter collection, transcending the reality of everyday life with sexy, sparkling eyes and jewel-like lips that celebrate the superstar within all of us.

The "Star Secrets" range will include two of the collections that have been specially designed to enhance Arab beauty, with the different products and colours combining together to flatter the darker eyes, darker hair and fair matt skin of Arab beauties like Rachida Brakni and Afef Jnifen the icons and L'Oreal Paris ambassadresses who have served as the inspiration for the two color palettes.

The key focus is on the eyes, with Colour Appeal Trio Star Secret Pro Crystals. Two scintillating trios have been developed in specific shades to create sublime effects with brown and black eyes.

Superliner Crystals with added glitter are also available to further enlarge and intensify Arab eye colors. And for the final touch, Extra Volume Collagene Mascara will be used. Containing hydra-collagene, Extra Volume Collagene is designed to instantly thicken and volumize your lashes leaving them longer and sexier.

For the lips there are Color Riche Star Secrets in two brilliant colours. Formulated to include Vitamin E and Omega 3, the lipsticks simultaneously moisturise, smooth and soften with all the richness of a beauty treatment.

Three of the key base products in those looks come from the ever so innovative Minerals Makeup collection: Mattifying Minerals, Glow Minerals and Concealer Minerals. L'Oréal Paris has created this range of 100% natural mineral products that work in harmony with the skin to suit every woman's needs, even those with sensitive and imperfection-prone complexions. Practical and easy to apply, these products offer breathtaking results in either a uniform pure-glow finish or a mattifying finish without caking the features of the face.

With over 30 top designers already staking their claim to DFW's catwalk, including Walid Atallah, Reem Ali Beljafla, HSY and Mariam Al Mazro and with top fashion hair and makeup artists on hand to add to the glamour, Dubai Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 09 looks set to be brighter, wilder and more utterly fabulous than ever before. Stay tuned and watch this space.
