Swiss-Belhotel International spreads its wings to the Middle East and Asia at Arabian Travel Market
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, May 05 - 2009 at 16:37
- PRESS RELEASE
Swiss-Belhotel International is a part of the Arabian Travel Market from 5-8 May 2009 at the World Trade Centre (booth number 1300 UAE at the Zabeel Hall).
Mr. Gavin Faull, President and Chairman, Swiss-Belhotel International said, "Arabian Travel Market is the ideal platform to unlock business potential within the Middle East and pan Arab Region. The event gives Swiss-Belhotel International the opportunity to do business with over 14,000 travel professionals and meet the most qualified buyers face to face, build new relationships with potential clients and meet with existing clients as well as increase the Swiss Belhotel Group profile."
Mr. Edgar Solenthaler, Vice President - Operations and Development - Middle East, Swiss-Belhotel International says, "We have closed deals for projects in Sharjah for a resort development, Dubai and Doha for city hotels due to open soon in this year and we are also now officially partnered for a project in Dead Sea, Jordan. Other properties that we have recently acquired are Swiss-Belhotel Resort Masirah Island opening in June 2009 in Oman and Swiss-Belhotel Sana'a in Yemen which opens later next year (2010). There are many other leads in the pipeline which will help us to get stronger in the Middle East in no time."
Hence, the expansion of the Swiss-Belhotel International group serves as an active invitation to further leads for projects in the industry where the owners have hotels but are looking for a suitable hotel management company.
Swiss-Belhotel International is unique, compared to many international hotel management companies, with the philosophy of actively consulting the property owners and investors. An increasing number of owners wish to be entirely informed on the day-to-day operations. This has tended to be discouraged by international hotel management companies, whose policy it often is to stamp their own particular brand of management and marketing on the operation, free from 'outside' owner or investor involvement.
Just 3 years in Middle East and Swiss-Belhotel International has ventured into signing 10 hotels onboard it's Group. Swiss-Belhotel International Middle East commenced with a resort project in Saudi Arabia, off the coast opposite to Sharm El Sheikh, a take over of a hotel in Kuwait since July 2007 and then in Sohar, Oman since January 2008.
Swiss-Belhotel International as a group also entered into partnership with Oman Air recently. Oman Air is the National Airline of the Sultanate of Oman and flies from Muscat to more than 25 key cities across the Arabian Gulf, Middle-East, Europe, Far East, the Indian Subcontinent including ten destinations in India and the domestic destinations of Salalah and Khasab.
Mr. Solenthaler concluded, "We are proud that the Swiss-Belhotel International continues to show growth even in the downturn economy phase. The Group has successfully established a strong base to expand, showcasing Passion, Professionalism and Reliability as qualities within a Group."
