The much anticipated waterpark's lobby area is now open to visitors, offering a sneak preview of what the public can expect from the region's largest temperature-controlled aquatic theme park.

Pride of place in the Wahooo! lobby is given over to an imposing logo, which makes a firm statement standing two metres in height.

The eye-striking sign is bordered by palm trees; not the ubiquitous date variety found everywhere across the region, but coconut palms that replicate the tropical island resort theme of the destination, which is set to open its doors to an enthusiastic public in summer 2009.

Located adjacent to the lobby is the Wave Pro retail outlet, which will serve the thousands of visitors expected to arrive each week to take advantage of the numerous aquatic facilities on offer; rides such as the Flowrider, one of the world's largest full-size surfing machines, the Masterblaster Rollercoaster which runs at an adrenaline pumping undulating 190 metres and a four-lane Matt Racer, that loops around the outer edge of the waterpark. Guests visiting the indoor and outdoor aqua park can stock up on all manner of accessories at the store, from sunglasses to sunbeds, towels to tanning lotions, surfboards to branded Wahooo! products.

"The newly opened Wahooo! lobby area acts as a taster preview of the main feature, which opens in the summer,"

said Damien Latham, General Manager of Wahooo!.

"We have been fielding enquiries about the theme of Wahooo! ever since the project has got underway - this must be one of the most anticipated leisure projects ever launched in the region," he added.
