Targeted GCC roadshow pays off for Al Sondos Suites

- PRESS RELEASE
Targeted corporate marketing to the GCC countries in the last six weeks is paying off with increased bookings, according to Naif Zureikat, general manager of Al Sondos Suites by Le Méridien.
Zureikat said: "Regional business is key for us at the moment and, while we are registering high occupancies at present, we wanted to maintain this momentum over the next few months.
"Thanks to Al Sondos' profile as an all-suite dry property, it appeals to many GCC visitors - which we moved to capitalise on during Le Méridien's roadshow."
Opened last summer, the all-suite, 11-storey building located opposite the City Centre mall in Deira is revising its business mix to accommodate both long-stay corporate guests as well as visitors from the region on short city breaks.
Occupancy frequently exceeded 100 per cent during January and February, with revenue per available room (revpar) averaging out at Dhs 465 ($125) in February, up from Dhs 392 ($104) - a figure that was higher than most of the city hotels.
With just 106 studio, one- and two-bedroom suites, the hotel twins international management efficiencies with an intimate atmosphere, a combination that appeals to the local GCC visitor as well as guests staying for longer periods who look for a comfortable base in the centre of Dubai.
Located just five minutes' from Dubai International Airport in the heart of the Deira shopping and business district, Al Sondos Suites by Le Méridien has a fully-equipped business centre, pool deck and health centre, a 24-hour news café and the Arabic restaurant, Al Mabsam.
