The Kuwait-based premium service carrier has announced the launch of its new route to Amman, Jordan in early June, which adds to its existing routes of Dubai, Bahrain, Beirut and Cairo. This brings the list of popular destinations that the airline flies to from Kuwait to 5 since it commenced flights in January 2009.

The third specially equipped Airbus A320 aircraft will be delivered by the end of May and will meet Wataniya Airways' ambitious growth plans by allowing increased flight frequencies to Cairo and Beirut for the peak summer season. Tickets will be on sale with immediate effect.

"The 2009 summer schedule will see Wataniya Airways' biggest expansion within our short history. We are appreciative that our collaboration with the Egyptian Civil Authority has been so fruitful and has allowed us to cater for the needs of Egyptian and Kuwait-based travellers,"

said Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar, Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways.
