During the first two days of ATM, Al Qasba's stand witnessed impressive footfall where the newly, head-turning design attracted the visitors' attention, the stand captivated the interest of high profile visitors, and witnessed the special visit by H.E Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, as well as a number of high profile individuals in the field of Tourism in national and international arena.
Surrounded by several differently silhouettes and creating an entertaining ambiance for the visitors, Al Qasba stand exposed a unique, colorful identity and hosted several acts and shows creating an entertaining environment for the visitors. Through participating in the Arabian Travel Market 2009 Al Qasba aims to promote and showcase its various services and activities, with which it has become one of UAE's major touristic attractions and a key driver in the growth of Sharjah's tourism.
Commenting on the participation in ATM, Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Al Qasba Development Authority, said: "This is our 5th consecutive participation in ATM, however this year, Al Qasba is participating in its own unique stand under the umbrella of Sharja stand."
"Through our participation in ATM we look to promote the tourism sector in Sharjah and to highlight the features and services of Al Qasba as well as inform the public of our latest attractions and events."
"Al Qasba's future plans also include a refurbishment of the Etisalat - Eye of the Emirates to include more restaurants and facilities, thus turning it into an integrated tourist destination on the Sharja and UAE level."
