Coral International Cape Town nears completion

Coral Hotels and Resorts announced today that Coral International Cape Town is on Schedule to open later this year.

Owned by Cii Hotel & Resorts Cape Town (Pty) Ltd a subsidiary of Cii Holdings (Pty) Ltd., it is an ultra-luxurious property brilliantly located in the heart of the city 20 minutes drive from Cape Town International Airport.

Making the announcement, Group CEO for Cii Holdings, Mr Hamza Farooqui, said, "We are proud to say that Coral International Cape Town will be open as planned well in advance of 2010 FIFA World Cup. Managed by Coral Hotels & Resorts, it has been designed to offer the ultimate comforts and facilities."

Cii Holdings is a leading business house specialising in property, finance, technology and broadcasting. The hotel has been under construction since the first quarter of 2007 and has been built at a cost of $30m.

The CEO of HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings, Mr Michel Noblet, said, "It's a great moment to be able to say that very soon we would be able to open our first property in South Africa, especially in the magical city of Cape Town. Tourism is South Africa's fastest-growing industry and Cii Holdings is among the strongest business groups. South Africa continues to be a major attraction for tourists. Foreign visitor numbers for 2008 showed substantial increase from the 2007 figures. Tourist spending was also up in the country with business tourism numbers shooting up sharply.

Mr Farooqui said, 'Cape Town is an exquisitely rich city in all senses, with an abundance of breathtaking sights to see, including the stunning Table Mountain, a community that is full of arts and culture, and a superb business infrastructure, making the city possibly the most beautiful place to conduct business.'

Coral International Cape Town features 140 rooms and suites and caters perfectly to the demands of discerning travellers. Included in its portfolio are a swimming pool, gymnasium and extensive business and meeting facilities.
