  • PRESS RELEASE

Companies in the facilities management sector continue to have a positive outlook, despite the slowing economy.

Taking advantage of this, the Working Buildings Middle East exhibition, incorporating Fit-Out Middle East, runs at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, from the 9th - 10th of November and aims to offer companies in this sector an opportunity to network and do business with buyers and decision makers from across the Middle East.

Market leaders in this industry have shown their confidence in the strength of the exhibition by confirming their presence at the event. ServeU (LLC) exhibited at Working Buildings Middle East in 2008, and have confirmed they will be again be taking a 120 square metre stand this year. The company provides internationally benchmarked FM services from their core divisions of FM consultancy, security, cleaning services, MEP maintenance, and MEP refurbishment.

Mr Stephen Barker, General Manager of ServeU (LLC) stated that:

"We received solid interest and it was a successful exhibition for us with confirmed follow up meetings. We received in excess of 30 quality meetings which were converted into follow-up meetings. Abu Dhabi is not a potential market, it is a market that exists and it is big". ServeU (LLC) recently won a big chunk of the FM service provision contract at MotorCity Dubai, worth over $10.9m (Dhs40m)."

Alomi Real Wood Floors have confirmed their presence again for Working Buildings Middle East, incorporating Fit-Out Middle East. Albert Douglas of Alomi Real Wood Floors LLC said 'I am again participating at the working buildings Middle East incorporating Fit-Out Middle East exhibiting for the second year.

This is due to the huge success last year for my British made internal solid and engineered wood flooring, laminated flooring, external wood decking, wall to wall carpets and matching accessories. This show attracts professional visitors from all over the GCC. It is extremely well organized and very well attended'.

Other companies to confirm their presence recently include Timber Wolf LLC, Hygienilac Dubai Ltd, and Empteezy UAE FZE. Rod Smith from Empteezy UAE FZE states; "Whilst many other exhibitions are solely about footfall, Working Buildings Middle East delivers on the main reason for Empteezy UAE exhibiting, namely quality of attendees. Having participated in the last two Working Buildings Middle East events in Abu Dhabi we have secured at least one major order per year which can be directly attributed to the exhibitions. We eagerly look forward to more of the same this year".

Participating for the first time at the event are Wood Tech, part of the regionally renowned construction and development conglomerate, Tech Group. Wood Tech offers a service portfolio including fine interior designing, joinery works, panelling, wood fire rated doors and more.

Abdulrahman Kalantar, Managing Director of Nakheel Asset Management recently stated in Emirates 24/7, "The facilities management industry in the region has posted tremendous growth since the opening up of the freehold market. With an additional supply of more than 30,000 units expected in 2009, the sector is set for continued strong growth, despite the global economic slowdown."

Working Buildings Middle East, incorporating Fit-Out Middle East will provide a valuable opportunity for local and international companies to showcase their products and services to the increasingly important Middle East market. The event has been designed to target all those involved in the management and maintenance of facilities, from the final stages of construction, fit-out and will explore the latest products, services and best-practice examples relating to the complete life cycle of a building.
