MBRCLD has invited Professor Huang Jing as keynote speaker in today's session at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, which will focus on the history, culture and politics of policymaking in China.

The topics to be discussed by Professor Huang throughout the course of the day include 'Origin of Business: China's Two Coasts,' 'Business Culture in China,' and a two-part presentation on the 'Structure and Process of Policymaking in China: The party-state relationship and leadership relations.'

By joining the Promising Leaders level participants on this tour, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Majid has enriched the series of high-level discussions with professors from Singapore's Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), discussing issues concerning financial and economic management and Singapore's competitiveness and strategies in governance.

Adel Al Shared, Executive Chairman, MBRCLD said, "I am pleased that the stopover in China is part of the Dubai Opening Study Tour, and am sure that it will be just as productive and helpful in our goal to identify best practices and successful strategies that can be adopted in our own development initiatives in Dubai and the UAE. This can be achieved by identifying the fundamental reasons for China's success and analysing its policies that have ensured the growth and success of its trade and industrial sectors."

Maha Mohammed Alqattank, Assistant Manager Human Resource, Nakheel, and a participant of Promising Leaders said, "The activities and high-level discussions in Singapore really perked us up and helped set the mood for the rest of the study tour. As such, we certainly look forward to equally lively and engaging sessions in China."

"Being a highly formidable force in the global economy, it is certainly very interesting to learn more about the systems and practices being adopted by the Chinese government. On the other hand, the participation of Sheikh Majid has really inspired and motivated us to make the most of our capabilities and achieve excellence in various leadership areas," she added.

The DO Study Tour to Singapore and China is being conducted as part of efforts to enhance the capabilities of Promising Leaders level participants in managing Dubai as a global city. The program is being organised in association with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
