Mohammed Yousuf Mohammed, Deputy Director General of Dubai Courts, Presidents of the three courts; directors of the departments and courts' staff attended the event, which also honoured the team that worked on the Third Annual Report for its outstanding contribution in preparing a high quality report.
In the Dubai Government Excellence Program Dr. Yousuf Al Suwaidi won the 'Distinguished Government Employee" award for his efforts in maintaining the highest standards in judicial services and enhancing corporate performance by developing effective strategies in compliance with stringent quality standards.
Abdullah Al Kaabi won the "Creative Employee" award for his innovative initiatives and projects which contributed to enhancing the e-system. He also contributed by improving the quality of the database, streamlining processes and saving time and effort with his suggestions that improved e-services. He was also responsible for enhancing the technical competence of the Courts' staff. Ahmed Al Saket received the "Unknown Soldier" award in recognition
for his efforts and commitment to work ethics. He was cited as a typical example of loyalty and dedication.
Dr. Ahmed Bin Hazeem said:
"This initiative stems from our strong belief that our staff can play a major role in enhancing corporate performance and building confidence of customers and stakeholders in the judicial system. The Dubai Government Excellence Program awards won by our staff also is a recognition for the judicial system as a whole and encourages us to continue with our commitment of creating a work environment that promotes excellence and creativity in line with our goal of being a pioneer in courts work."
Mariam Bint Lahej, Director of Quality Department in Dubai Courts, highlighted the role of Dr. Yousuf Al Suwaidi in developing strategic plans, adopting quality standards and managing human resources. She also noted his role in overseeing the formulation of the first and second strategic plans of Dubai Courts and also the annual reports.
Bint Lahej said: "Dr. Yousuf has made invaluable contributions to the development of the judicial system in the emirate by regularly organising workshops to promote awareness about excellence concepts, in addition to incorporating Dubai Courts' issues in the General Plan of Dubai Government in terms of justice, security and safety principles. He has also contributed to spreading a culture of quality and excellence within the courts in his role as the President of Dubai Courts Excellence Awards. He has also shown his commitment to adopting technology to promote excellence concepts and practices by launching a link on the intranet. This honouring ceremony will motivate Dubai Courts' staff to adopt excellence concepts and elevate Dubai Courts to new levels."
Ahmed Al Kindari, Director of Quality Department in the Judicial Sector, said: "The Preoperational Judge Experience is a leading initiative that has contributed to achieving one of Dubai Courts' strategic objectives of enhancing confidence of customers and
stakeholders in the judicial system. This experience is based on creating alternative methods for dispute resolution, far from the traditional procedures, ensuring accuracy and clarity of courts' judgments, facilitating access to justice, and enhanced services. We are fully confident that this experience will support Dubai Courts' vision of promoting justice, independence, equality and creativity in the emirate."
