"DEAL 2009 was the third consecutive year that UK mascot company Rainbow Productions has exhibited at the Show; personally, it was my first year at DEAL and what struck me was the amount of visitors from FECs and leisure venues in the region who are interested in developing a bespoke Rainbow mascot as a low-cost way of increasing their appeal to a family audience and as a way of generating merchandising opportunities based around this mascot," Danny Smith said.
"At DEAL 2009 we also promoted the official licensed cartoon characters we represent in the Middle East for guest appearances and Shows. Prior to DEAL Rainbow Productions has managed the personal appearances of licensed characters such as Bart Simpson, Fifi Forget-Me-Not and Bob the Builder at events in Dubai and Abu Dhabi - following on from leads obtained at DEAL, we are currently quoting for further character appearances in other venues in the GCC region," he added.
