A group of models adorned in the latest collections stomped through the venue declaring the arrival of the much awaited lineup.

Adidas celebrated their opening of the Adidas Originals new outlet on May 7th, 2009.

Fascinated bystanders looked on as the neighborhoods came to life, with graffiti artists spray painting walls, with slogans such as 'Celebrating Originality'.

Some of the best graffiti artists joined together on a completely original concept: taking their artwork to the streets of Amman, transforming the area into an official 'Originals' zone. The artists were painting the streets in the trademark colors of the brand, demonstrating their skills, while showcasing their creativity and imagination.

"This Originals store is different to what you have seen in other Adidas Performance stores. With a long history in the sports, Originals represents the perfect fusion of sport authenticity and street style."

said Zeina Hallak, General Manager of Adidas in the Levant.

Osman Ayaz, Managing Director of Emerging Markets at Adidas Group also thanked the attendees, adding that: "We are thrilled to witness the branching out of Adidas Originals in the region, and we hope that this is the first of many venues to come."

Ayaz added: "It is a very nice coincidence to have the opening of this Original store in the heart of Amman, at the same time, while celebrating worldwide our 60th anniversary of the iconic 3 stripes mark on shoes, introduced by our founder Adi Dassler."

The official opening was followed by a launch party in the store, revolving around the theme of 'Amman Originals', where Adidas Originals' colors and emblems were featured around the store, creating a feel of the true Adidas spirit.

Dispersed around the venue were light bites, as well as the Blue Spirit cocktail, a specially mixed drink fusing originality and passion in one. This drink was juggled by a professional bartender, and a DJ set from the city pumping rhythmic beats into the air.

The party hosted celebrities such as Star Academy finalists Salma and Bashar, and Hani Mitwasi, one of Jordan's top singers; joining together in the most original and exciting event, setting the benchmark for all other events to come. Hallak extended her thanks to the honorary guests that livened up the event.

The party broke all boundaries with lively beats and funky melodies leaking out onto the streets of Amman. What happened inside did not stay inside. The party was one that took Amman on a whole new level of music, dancing, and modeling. Different artists, directors, and writers from the top agencies and media organizations in Jordan were present to celebrate in the opening of the store.

The Originals collection, deriving inspiration from the large Adidas sports history, is part of Adidas' Sport Heritage Division and represents a perfect fusion of sport authenticity and global street style.
