Arab Bank receives third prize at the awards ceremony for the Best Website in the Arab Region for 2009

The Arab Bank received the third prize at the awards ceremony for the Best Website in the Arab Region for 2009 in the banks category for Arab Bank Group website www.arabbank.com.

The awards ceremony was organized last week at Burj Al-Arab Hotel and was attended by businessmen, company representatives, designers and a group of specialists and experts in the area of website design and technology.

The award was received by Mr. Sa'ed Jarallah, Country Manager for Arab Bank's branches in the United Arab Emirates, on behalf of the Arab Bank Group. Ms. Dina Shoman, EVP of Branding, said that this award shows appreciation for the Arab Bank's efforts in adopting innovative technological and creative concepts, stressing that Arab Bank provides a variety of banking services and products through it websites that facilitate and simplify banking transactions.

Ms. Shoman added that Arab Bank constantly strives towards excellence in providing services to its clients worldwide and in the most up-to-date and simplified manner.

The Arab Bank Group website gives visitors the opportunity to learn about the history of the Arab Bank since its establishment in 1930 and provides updates and news about the most recent developments. It also connect the user to the Bank's different branches and subsidiaries globally. The website includes quick links for electronic banking services, such as Arabi online, currency transfers, and the ability to monitor the Arab Bank's share prices.

The Arab Bank Group website was designed by Aquamedia in cooperation with Arab Bank. The Best Website Award is aimed at inspiring the work of web designers and acknowledging their work as well as rewarding their skills and encouraging improvement and development.

The Award also seeks to promote the spirit of creativity among web designers and raise it to professional levels and international standards, in addition to promoting cultural and production opportunities in order to develop an interactive community that gives this electronic sector the appreciation and acknowledgment it deserves.
