The Hamra Marina Yacht Club provides luxury leisure club facilities and overlooks the Al Hamra Marina which can accommodate up to 150 yachts.

"Hamra Convention Centre will provide outstanding services for event organizers at very low costs that match the current market situation. The convention centre is equipped with high standard facilities and high-end finishings and can accommodate up to 1200 people."

Timani said that the key attraction of the convention centre is its location which is in close proximity to three five- star hotels, providing a total of 1000 rooms, apart from a 18- hole golf course and a marina. He added that Hamra Convention Center management is looking for long term partnerships with local and international event organizers.

The Convention Centre has an elegant pre- function foyer for receptions, which leads to a double height ballroom that can be separated into 3 independent conference rooms, each with its own state- of- the- art audio- visual and lighting system. The centre, spread across two floors, also has a Business Centre in the first floor with 6 boardrooms, which is ideal for smaller business meetings and training for up to 50 persons.

Additionally, the Convention Centre will provide e-services where interested clients can view the different types of meeting rooms available and services offered, as well as make their bookings, through its official website www.hamraconvention.com.

Regarding Hamra Marina Yacht Club, Elia Timani said, "The Hamra Marina & Yacht Clubhouse will provide superb services including two restaurants, fully equipped meeting facility, and a 24- hour security and an information counter at the Lobby. The club house also has shops selling yacht merchandise and equipments, apart from locker rooms, a bar, Marina Lounge and the Birds Eye roof top viewing platform, which offers panoramic views of the Marina, Al Hamra Village and the open sea, using the three fixed telescopes".

He added that a number of membership opportunities are available for individuals and families who could benefit from special discounts. The Hamra Marina and Yacht Club also has a sailing school where programs will be offered for beginners and experienced sailors.

Timani said that Hamra Hotels and Resorts, which currently has five hotels under its portfolio in RAK, continued to show robust performance with an average occupancy level of 86 percent despite the current global economic downturn.
