Two Gulf Air executives successfully complete Boeing executive program

Gulf Air's Revenue Management Director Hassan Al Rasheed and Technical Quality Assurance Director Jamal Hashim, returned to Bahrain last week after successfully completing the first-level of the Boeing Executive Program.

This 10-day program, held at the Boeing Leadership Center in St. Louis, Missouri USA provided both executives with the opportunity to experience how Boeing develops its leaders.

The Boeing Executive Program, which started 10 years ago, helps Boeing employees unlock their full leadership potential through a combination of classroom and group experiences. Activities within these settings foster a heightened awareness of company's global enterprise growth strategy, as well as the skills necessary to create a work environment that engages all team members.

Throughout the course, Jamal and Hassan took part in several simulated leadership exercises. Their actions were then analyzed by the rest of the participants and senior members of the Boeing management team.

Gulf Air's Chief People Officer Mr. Ahmed Al Banna commented,

"We firmly believe in training and developing the skills of our staff. Jamal and Hassan's participation in the Boeing Executive Program will develop their leadership skills, which eventually will benefit Gulf Air and reinforce its status as a leading airline in the region."

"Gulf Air encourages its staff to participate in such programs. Indeed, such programs will result in exchange of experience between Gulf Air and Boeing, as well as emphasize commitment of the two companies to each other," he concluded.

Boeing Vice President of Sales for the Middle East & Africa Marty Bentrott commented, "We are proud of our relationship with Gulf Air and we were pleased to have hosted Jamal and Hassan to attend the executive program. Boeing's objective is to make the experience both rewarding and one that contributes to the participants' professional growth."

Hassan and Jamal received a certificate of achievement at the end of this program, and are eagerly looking forward to share their earned knowledge and skills with their colleagues.
