- PRESS RELEASE
Hertz Yemen has signed a leasing agreement to provide a fleet of vehicles for use by SabaFon, the Lebanese-based company providing the first GSM mobile phone services in the country.
Forging ahead with plans to expand its car leasing and car rental business in the corporate sector, Hertz Yemen is providing Sabafon with Hyundai Sonatas, Suzuki Grand Vitaras and Nissan Pathfinders.
Saleem Sheikh, general manager of Hertz Yemen, said " We're currently in negotiation with a number of companies over leasing agreements, and expect a substantial increase in our corporate business over the next couple of years." The company also expects to boost car rentals by capitalizing on the increasing number tourists visiting Yemen.
Hertz Yemen has also honoured its top drivers at an official reception. Hazza Shaif and Adel Abdul Rahman received cash awards from Omar Mohammed Omar, vice chairman and managing director of the Universal Group of Companies. The awards were made to recognise accident free driving, and outstanding efforts in customer service.
