Globally, the Supply Chain division reported that EBIT for the division remained stable at 34m euros for the first quarter; largely as a result of reduced overhead costs. If total restructuring charges of 8m euros were excluded from the equation, EBIT would have risen by 23.5%.
The performance consolidates DHL's position as market leader in the Middle East, where the company has been offering world-class express and logistics services to customers for over 30 years.
