Also present at the launch event were leading gourmet specialists who took the guests on a culinary journey of the store introducing them to premium products that are now on the shelves of Gourmet Station.
At the launch event, Gourmet Station's exquisite range of single-estate coffees was introduced by Justin Clarke, founder and CEO of Orbis Foods. Clark supplies and specially roasts coffees for Gourmet Station. Vahe Tuysuzian, owner of Tea for Life, is the man behind the rare teas selection at Gourmet Station. He gave guests the taste of some rare teas on that day, like the Jasmine Dragon Pearls.
Chocolatier Daniel S Hutmacher the exclusive supplier of hand made artisan chocolates at Gourmet Station chose the day to unveil to the selection of gourmands his latest range of chocolates specially created for the region - Taste of Arabia.
Mark Allen from Wet Fish was introduced as the man who delivers fresh wild salmons, halibuts and other seafood specialties from various parts of Europe and Asia to the store every day. Allen had so long been supplying only to top five star hotels in the city. This fish monger also supplies fish food for the now famous sharks and dolphins at the Atlantis.
Representing Gourmet Station's Butchery department was Andrea Capoccia who supplies 1824 Beef to the store. At the stage of selecting the specialty products, the team at Gourmet Station traveled to Australia with Capoccia to source the best of Australian grain-fed and kobe beef.
Award-winning, former Executive Chef of J W Marriott, Dubai, Ingo Maass also launched his cook book New Arabian Cuisine, which will now be available at Gourmet Station. Iranian Caviar specialist Delphine; Will & Gehan from Voss water also added to the special gourmet morning.
Inspired by the historical grand markets in Europe, Gourmet Station is the quintessential destination for food aficionados who are looking for more than what a supermarket can offer. A feast for the eyes and a delight to the senses, the store lives up to its motto of providing specialty products that are of the highest grade, quality and style, in a unique setting, with high service standards.
The layout and concept design of the store, designed by the Fort Lauderdale-based Pavlik Design Team, begins with an esplanade of counters along the lines of European street vendors. From each of these vibrant displays, customers can shop for fresh artisan breads, cakes & confectionery, teas & coffees, meats, seafood, deli and cheeses, even general groceries.
The daily meals too are prepared using the finest selection of hand-picked gourmet products from the store itself. Gourmet Station's Executive Chef Francis Matthias has specially developed creative recipes across 55 different cuisines for food lovers to savor.

Most of the products offered at Gourmet Station will be available for the first time in a retail sphere. Speciality products like Australian Wagyu beef; Yves Thuries Chocolate from France; Vallecoppa lemon infused extra virgin olive oil from Puglia, Italy; Cornish Sea Salt from Cornwall, UK; Cottage Delight Single Estate Apple Juice; or Aspall Organic Balsamic Vinegar were never available for retail before.(Please see fact sheets for more product information)
In addition, Gourmet Station will offer a Personal Shopping Assistant to guide the customer through the shopping experience, a home delivery service and as part of the gifting range, a Gourmet Grocery Hampers packaged in smart wicker picnic baskets will also be available.
