Al Hanoo Chairman, Sheikh Abdullah bin Fahid Al Shakrah gave the visitors a detailed description of the project's progress, the latest technologies used in the development process, and the continued efforts being made to develop Al Nujoom Islands into a leading and complete resort that is in line with the modern vision of Sharjah.

"Al Hanoo is developing complete cities, not just small projects. Our projects combine tourism with the manufacturing industry, and offer many facilities and services to investors, including those dealing with licenses, official paperwork, and project costs and handover. Our projects are also actual projects that are currently under development, and not just projects on paper, and Al Nujoom Islands, for example, is over 50 percent complete. Al Hanoo Holding is racing to deliver our projects to their owners ahead of schedule,"

said Al Shakrah.

Al Shakrah added: "The visit made by the delegations participating in the forum, and their admiration of the amenities and facilities the project offers to investors, was immediately apparent as investors requested meetings with Al Hanoo to discuss investment opportunities at Al Nujoom Islands. We are committed to facilitating investment in the project in a way that guarantees big profits for the investors."

As they toured Al Nujoom Islands, the visitors expressed their admiration for the progress being made at the project and the efforts being made to deliver it on time. They also praised Al Hanoo management's professional planning in dealing with the global financial crisis, as the firm has an outstanding reputation in the property market across the UAE and GCC countries.

Al Hanoo Holding is a strategic partner in the Special Economic Zones Forum, alongside a number of gold and diamond sponsors. Al Hanoo's partnership was announced during a press conference held recently by the Sharjah Economic Development Department.

The Al Nujoom islands project comprises 10 islands surrounded by 35 kilometres of water, with water canals extending between 100 and 400 metres into the water. The project is being development in series of phases, and is expected to be completed in 2012.

The first phase of the waterfront development, the largest of its kind in the emirate, began two years ago and is now nearing completion, with the digging for the project's water canals complete, and more than 2.3 million tons of rock used to line the banks of the water canals. The project was also recently linked with the Geographic Information System (GIS).

Phase one of the reclamation works on the development is complete, and Al Hanoo is preparing to implement the final touches before starting phase two, which will take around two and a half years to complete. Al Hanoo is also in the final stages of awarding a contract to develop villas on Al Nujoom Islands to a specialized company with a good reputation.
