The signing ceremony was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Public Works and Housing who was represented by H.E Sami Halsa. During the ceremony, Wael Al Sakka, JEA President, affirmed the diligent approach of JEA's Engineers Training Centre in further enhancing and developing its programs to best serve Jordanian and Arab engineers.
"The main objective of this agreement is to help strengthen and develop the training programs that are being offered by the Engineers Training Centre, which is certified by the Federation of Arab Engineers and the International Federation of Consulting Engineers. We are proud to note that the Engineers Training Centre has had a number of significant achievements in training, qualifying and providing engineers with the necessary technical and vocational skills needed to further develop their careers. There is an increasing demand among engineers to learn more about new techniques and skills in their fields. This demand is reflected by the 5,000 engineers from both the private and public sectors from neighboring Arab countries who have trained under the center," said Al Sakka.
"Moreover, as the world continues to push forward in the digital age, we look towards offering new training services in project management and its implementations alongside other training programs specifically designed for risk management in construction projects," Al Sakka added.
Bassam Al Samman, CEO & Founder of CMCS, lauded JEA's leading role in providing support to its associates in various engineering and academic sectors and encouraged them to face the challenges of the market and prepare for the major projects expected to be launched over the coming months as the construction sector gains momentum.
H.E. Sami Halsa in turn praised the efforts of the JEA in upgrading and organizing engineering work standards; helping train and qualify the engineers; and keeping the members informed about the latest innovations and techniques in the engineering sector.
"The new training program is considered to be a special addition to the several training programs that JEA's Engineers Training Centre already offers. It will significantly contribute in developing the academic and practical vision of engineers working in the construction and other related sectors which are being targeted by this new training program,"
he said.
Mohamad Abu Afifa, Director of Engineers Association Training Centre, shared that one of the efforts that the center is currently pursuing is to help fill the gap created by the growing demand for engineers in today's work market by bringing in fresh graduate engineers.
He also commended that the new set of trainings to be introduced by the center empowers the Kingdom's newest batch of engineers and gives them the confidence to join the competitive job market.
Abu Afifa also shared that the JEA will also be hosting a series of conferences, trainings, workshops, book translations and dissertation awards as part of their commitment to introduce new techniques and innovations in the different fields of engineering.
