Campori says:
"Whilst we anticipate challenges related to the global economic downturn, Charterhouse is well positioned to tackle these throughout 2009. The current economic climate is challenging for all areas of business, yet it is not all doom and gloom."
We are starting to see changes in recruitment; many organisations are looking to fill key roles in order to fill strategic requirements. Several industries have recently made crucial and hard decisions, which in turn will enable them to ride through the downturn. There are certainly signs that things are looking up.
"In Abu Dhabi we are seeing large levels of recruitment within the Government sectors, Academics and Non-Profit Organisations", says Campori.
"Construction has taken a turn in terms of demand; we now see recruitment needs within Facilities Management, Interiors and Design, as opposed to more Technical roles. There are still jobs out there, they are just harder to find."
Charterhouse continues to expand throughout the Middle East with the development of a dedicated Saudi Arabia team from January 2009. "The response to Charterhouse working in Saudi has been extremely promising, clients are very receptive and Saudi will certainly be a strong growth area for our business over 2009" says Campori. Charterhouse still sees the UAE as its main focus and with its offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi going stronger than ever, their commitment to the UAE is solid.
