Wataniya Airways is expecting to receive its third Airbus A320 aircraft in Kuwait within the third week of May and this additional aircraft will enable the airline to dramatically increase the frequency and destinations of its flights. Damascus is one of the most popular destinations for Kuwait based travellers and seat bookings can be made with immediate effect.
Mr. Abdulsalam Al Bahar, Chairman and Managing Director of Wataniya Airways, said:
"I'm thrilled that we have secured the air traffic rights to fly to Damascus International Airport and that we are able to announce this during our first official AGM since we were listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange as this is a testimony to our significant achievements to date. The schedule for flights to Damascus (available from 3rd of June 2009) is:
