The awards were received by Paul Holmes, Middle East CEO for RSA at the event as an audience comprising of the region's biggest names in the insurance sector cheered on.

The sixth annual Middle East Insurance Awards, organized by POLICY magazine, recognize outstanding achievement, innovation and success across the region's insurance industry.
In its entry for the General Insurer of the Year Award, RSA demonstrated their ability to establish a coherent development strategy, highlighting product innovation, response to customer needs and enhanced quality of service. Successful management of change and proven ability to meet the demands of the market, regulators and government were some of the key strengths highlighted in their submission.
On the occasion, Scott Pickering, CEO for Asia & Middle East commented, "This well deserved recognition is a testament to the quality of our people and our market leading customer proposition. To be judged as the best general insurer, by an independent panel and against fierce competition is truly fantastic!"
As a winner of the Public Awareness Campaign of the Year Award, RSA highlighted how they succeeded in educating the public and the business community about the importance of insurance. The marketing and advertising campaign supported by the re-branding exercise showed evidence of initiatives which have encouraged more insurance to be purchased; helped in recruiting young talent; and promoting the application of risk management practices.
David Harris, Sales & Marketing Director for the UAE was amongst an impressive line-up of international and regional expert speakers assembled at the Insurex conference. His presentation discussed industry best practices and RSA strategy for a personal lines business.
RSA is a proud winner of six Middle East Insurance Awards including General Insurer of the Year 2007 & 2008 and the Training Award 2008.
