Arabtec subsidiary, Target Engineering Construction, awarded contracts totalling Dhs71m from Emal

Target Engineering Construction Co., a subsidiary of Arabtec Holdings PJSC, is pleased to announce the award of a Dhs71m Emirates Aluminium (Emal) project for the above ground electrical and instrumentation works for the power plant at Emal.
Scope includes installation, calibration, testing and commissioning of transformers, switchgears, control panels, AC/DC power supplies, and Earthing & Lightning protection systems.
The Mechanical Division has achieved the ASME U & R certification and stamp for the Manufacture of Pressure Vessels in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Code. This covers the new design including repairs and demonstrates the company's commitment and evidence in compliance to International codes and standards; thus showing adherence to the Oil & Gas Industry standards.
Despite the local economic slowdown, Target Engineering is projecting a turnover of Dhs1.6bn for 2009 on the strength of a Dhs2.6bn backlog carried forward to 2009 and 2010.
