British Computer Society signs MoU at Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training

British Computer Society (BCS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT) to form a collaboration in the field of information technology education.

The agreement was signed in Abu Dhabi by HE Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Chancellor of the Higher Colleges of Technology, and Allan Pollard, President of the British Computer Society.

The understanding will see the two bodies work more closely together regarding information technology studies in the United Arab Emirates.

"This is an exciting time for both organizations in the development of the IT profession," said Mr. Alan Pollard, President, BCS. "By jointly working together, CERT will have our support in developing and supporting even stronger Master of Information Technology programmes in the UAE and the GCC Region."

"CERT aims to offer the highest quality Information technology and professional programmes to our students. We are delighted to sign this MoU as this collaboration will allow us to explore further options with BCS and so enhance our IT programmes."
