Jody Glenn Waugh, Khalid Al Hamrani, Marcus Wallman and Mohamed Khodeir will be promoted to the partnership with effect from 1 June 2009.

The new partners come from the banking, dispute resolution and corporate practices at Al Tamimi & Company's Dubai office.

While tough economic times have been forcing other law firms to cut back, Al Tamimi & Company remains very positive about the longer term future of the region. Despite the present difficult operating environment the firm will continue to invest in it's business and recognise and reward outstanding performance.

"This decision was made due to the exceptional contributions of Jody, Khalid, Marcus and Mohamed to the growth and success of the firm."

said Managing Partner Hoda Barakat.

"Yes, these are challenging times for everyone, but we will not hold back on rewarding those who deserve to be recognised for their efforts. Adding them to the partnership is a positive step for the future of the firm."

It was also announced last week that Al Tamimi & Company have been shortlised for the Middle East Team of the Year Award at the prestigious Lawyer Awards 2009, scheduled to be held in London at the end of June.
