Born in Scotland, Chef Robinson started his culinary journey at the age of seventeen. One of the highlights of his career includes being the Head Chef for His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. His career has taken him all over the world to London, Dubai, Hong Kong and now Abu Dhabi where he will oversee the operations of five restaurants and daily kitchen operations at Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi.
Gary is also overseeing the culinary operations of Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, in its pre-opening stage and will continue to do so when the hotel opens in the third quarter of this year.
"This is a very exciting challenge for me and I am looking forward to overlooking the operations of Shangri-La Hotel at the same time as overlooking the pre-opening preparation of Traders Hotel, Abu Dhabi. I shall be focusing on ensuring that our food and beverage portfolio continues to contribute to the burgeoning culinary scene in Abu Dhabi,"
said Chef Robinson.
Chef Gary Robinson replaces Tim Stanhope, who left Shangri-La Hotel, Abu Dhabi, in February to take up a new position at Pudong Shangri-La in Shanghai.
