  • PRESS RELEASE

Hit 96.7FM, a part of Arabian Radio Network (ARN) - the region's fastest-growing radio network and communications service - announced it has cemented its positioning as the only Malayalam radio station in the UAE and will continue to provide the largest South Asian community in the country with 24-hour programming in their native language.

Hit 96.7FM's status as the UAE's sole Malayalam radio station follows the decision by a key competitor to move away from its Malayalam focus and broadcast Hindi/Urdu programming.

Mahmoud Al Rashid, ARN General Manager, said:
"One of the largest language group in the UAE, the Malayalam-speaking community requires 24 hours of quality programming to meet their entertainment and information needs. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to the innovation and production standards that our listeners have come to expect."

"It is our duty and pleasure to keep Malayalees in the UAE and other Hit listeners in touch with what is going on within the community and on the local activities that are happening around the UAE. Our goal is simply to entertain and inform, and listeners can rest assured that they can continue to be plugged in to developments in Kerala and beyond with Hit."

Founded in 2004, Hit 96.7FM has quickly created a large and loyal listener base of about one million 'Hitizens' through broadcasting energetic, innovative programming and organizing blockbuster events.
