TAC launches the stunning 'International' trucks in Oman

The Navistar Truck Group is a leader in the commercial vehicle industry, producing 'International' brand apart from several others.

The 'International' trucks, known for their sturdy demeanour and repute is now exclusively available in Oman through Towell Auto Centre.

Globally International products, parts and services are sold through a network of nearly 1,000 dealer outlets in the United States, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico and more than 60 dealers in 90 countries throughout the world.

Judged by a panel of journalists from leading truck publications in North America, the 'International LoneStar' was recently selected the inaugural ATD Commercial Truck of the Year based on a number of criteria, including design, innovation, cab quietness and space utilization. It beat out the Freightliner Cascadia, Kenworth T660, Mack Titan, and Peterbilt Model 386.

With a striking, aerodynamic appearance and breakthrough functional innovations inside and out, 'International' is the result of extensive customer research and automotive-inspired design - a new truck that changes the game for today's trucking professionals.

"International Trucks' technology and innovative styling converge with next-generation aerodynamic design to deliver superior fuel efficiency," avers Ninan John, Business Manager, Heavy Commercial Vehicles, TAC.

"International also sets a higher standard for comfort - through improved ergonomics, an industry-leading suspension, advanced electronics and a whisper-quiet cab," informs Annurag Chawla, Head of Marketing and Communications, Towell Auto Centre.

Navistar currently operates six manufacturing plants in North America. It builds heavy-duty trucks in Chatham, Ontario (Canada); medium-duty trucks in Springfield, Ohio (United States); severe service, heavy-duty and military vehicles in Garland, Texas (United States); and medium, heavy and severe service trucks in Escobedo, Mexico. School buses and commercial buses are built in Conway, Arkansas and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The company's truck development and technology center is located in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Through a joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra, Navistar will open a new manufacturing plant in Maharashtra, India, at the end of 2009.

The striking new 'International' trucks are available through the various service centre of Towell Auto Centre across the country including Barka, Sohar, Nizwa, Ibri, Sur, Bani Bu Ali, Ibra, Salalah, Buraimi, in addition to Muscat at Athaiba, , Wadi Kabir and Watayyah.
