Registration for the DSS promotion begins tomorrow at all Department of Economic Development offices in Dubai from 7:30am to 3pm. Titled 'Surprising Deals', the DSS shopping promotion is part of the region's first and longest retail promotion spanning four months.
Suhaila Gobash, Events Manager of DSF Office, said:
"'Surprising Deals' presents a unique opportunity for retailers in Dubai to be part of a retail initiative that has been designed to provide value for money benefits for both retailers and consumers. This promotion is a platform for all retailers in Dubai to realize volume sales and subsequently transfer benefits on to consumers."
The Dubai Shopping Festival Office recently held a meeting with over 125 representatives of leading retail entities in Dubai to discuss and chalk out plans for shopping promotions over the summer from June 1 to September 30.
Apart from DSS 2009, retailers can look forward to other promotions such as the 'Back-to-School Season' from August 9 to September 10, 2009 and 'Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr Offers', running from August 9 to September 30, 2009. Retailers also have the option to organize raffle draws during the four-month period subject to approval from DSF Office.
