Garden and Landscaping Middle East and Hardware and Tools Middle East exhibitions open in Dubai

HE Bin Fahad is the Patron of the Garden and Landscaping Middle East exhibition which takes place from May 17 to 19 at the Dubai In-ternational Convention and Exhibition Center.

He delivered an opening speech to visitors and exhibitors after the inauguration and a brief tour of the two exhibitions.

Also taking place at the same time and venue is the Hardware and Tools Middle East. Both the shows have attracted a total of 413 ex-hibitors from 33 countries.

Elisabeth Brehl, Managing Director of Epoc Messe Frankfurt GmbH said:

"Garden and Landscaping is the largest dedicated trade event for landscaping architecture, garden artwork and outdoor living in the Middle East."

"Property developers, builders, architects, landscape designers, agri-culturists, engineers specializing in irrigation, suppliers of agricultural and gardening products as well as sellers of garden accessories and outdoor furniture from all over the world will gather to see the latest trends in garden and landscaping as well as tap into the opportunities in the Gulf and Middle East markets boosted by its oil wealth and massive development projects," Ms. Brehl remarked.

Hardware and Tools Middle East is a must-attend show for all retail-ers, distributors and contractors who deal with the hardware and tools industry.

Global sales of power tools and accessories is set to exceed Dhs73bn ($19.87bn) according to industry estimates.

Ms. Brehl added:

"Despite the economic slowdown the hand tools and hardware industry is one of the few in the world that remains un-affected."

She noted that when other industries are up against losses, the hand tool industry persists as customers chose to save money by doing the repair work themselves.
