Al Sorayai Group awarded contract to furnish Abu Dhabi Masjids with 115,000 square meters of carpet

The first day of the Domotex Dubai 2009 carpet expo saw the participation of Al Sorayai Trading Industrial Group alongside 238 other companies and exhibitors.

The groups' suite was decorated with its most distinguished textile offerings, attracting many visitors with the brilliance of its Arabic products.

The Sorayai suite welcomed numerous important individuals and officials, lead by H.E. Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) as well as a group of experts, investors, carpet manufacturers and visitors to the Dubai Exhibition Center, where it showcased its latest products, made by using the new Chromo-Jet color printers, the latest revolution in carpet manufacturing.

Said Mr. Salih Nasir Al Sorayai, Managing Director of Al Sorayai Trading Industrial Group: "There's a distinguished mark that makes Al Sorayai's products stand out amongst its international competitors - it is the culmination of passion, dedication, and more than 55 years of experience in the carpet manufacturing industry. Through the use of new technology, our products have gained additional features such as color designs, high quality textiles and improved quality of raw materials."

Al Sorayai, whose company is considered one of the biggest in the Middle East, and is ranked 17th in terms of carpet manufacturing in the world, added:
"The number of high profile visitors, especially H.E. Al Ghurair reflects the success of Arabic products, and motivates us to remain up to date with the latest technologies, staying in line with our company's reputation."


The Abu Dhabi Ministry of Religious Endowments has awarded the bid to furnish Abu Dhabi Masjids to Al Sorayai Trading Industrial Group, with carpet sizes in excess of 115,000 square meters. The group is also set to sign a contract with a foreign company to add new production lines to its original 5 production lines, which will raise productivity to new heights.

In addition, Al Sorayai plans to expand its array of textile products using the new Chromo-Jet technologies, which was revealed at Domotex Hanover last year.

The company was established in Mecca under the name of Nasser & Abdullah Al Sorayai, more than 25 years ago, and commenced its activities by importing carpets and rugs from several Middle East countries. The company's board of directors is chaired by Sheikh Mohammed Al Sorayai, and the Chief Executive Officer is Sheikh Saleh Al Sorayai.

The company established its first carpet and rug manufacturing plant in 1987, to cope with increasing market demand.
