Batelco Bahrain Chief Executive Officer Gert Rieder said that Batelco is proud to have the highest level of Bahranisation in the industry and across many large companies in Bahrain.
"Batelco is very proud that 93% of the workforce is Bahraini and that a high proportion of them hold executive roles, leading various critical and complex functions,"
he said.
The 6 Bahrainis who have been promoted are Muna Al Hashemi to the post of GM Consumer Division, Adel Daylami - GM Products & Services, Hamza Ali - GM Product Development & Strategy, Dr. Abdulla Al Thawadi - GM Enterprise & Government Business, Mohammed Bubshait - GM Fixed Network and Abdulhamid Chehab - GM Mobile Services.
A further two Bahrainis have been appointed to senior management roles in their respective departments. They are Suhaila Alnowakhda as Senior Manager Human Resources Bahrain and Ali Sharif as Group Chief Internal Auditor.
"A company's success or failure greatly depends on the quality and depth of expertise of their senior management teams," Mr. Rieder said.
"We are immensely proud that we have a wealth of talented Bahraini executives in our company in key mission critical positions."
"We are also very pleased that two Bahraini ladies are amongst the recent group promoted to senior roles. The number of ladies in management roles at Batelco continues to rise each year thanks to our in-house Training & Development programmes," he added.
Batelco Group Human Resources General Manager Shaikh Ahmed Al Khalifa said that as part of Batelco's Training and Development plans, all staff have the opportunity to receive training at the Company's Knowledge Hub, located at Hamala Headquarters.
