Mapei eco-systems focus stimulates interest at Domotex

Mapei, the global leader in adhesives and specialist installation materials & systems, has received a positive response from customers attending the Domotex Middle East 2009 exhibition in Dubai, in particular after presenting its latest range of eco-sustainable systems for the substrate preparation and installation of finishes.

Examples of such finishes are pvc and rubber flooring, ceramic and stone tiling. These products were exhibited as part of the Domotex exclusive Designer Corner exhibition zone.

Mr. Laith Haboubi, Business Development Manager for Innovative Building Solutions, the local MAPEI subsidiary, said: 'We were delighted with the attendance at the focused presentation and with the number of enquiries we have received. This really shows that the UAE is firmly committed to the use of environmentally friendly products to ensure a sustainable and 'green' built environment'.

Mapei, who employ over 6,100 staff with business operations extending to 54 operations across the globe, is a member of the local Emirates Green Building Council (EGBC) as well as in the US (USGBC), Australia and in fact participates actively in green initiatives in every country it operates in. 70% of the group's substantial annual R&D budget is spent on the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable products for use in construction.
