The event will be held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and will attract over 300 technical professionals from around the globe. KIPCE 2009 with the conference theme "Meeting Energy Demands for Long Term Economic Growth" will be taking place 14-16 December 2009 at the Hilton Kuwait Resort.

KIPCE is a flagship oil and gas event in Kuwait that has been previously organised and managed by the Kuwait University and for the first time this year the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) will be the co-organiser. The collaboration between this leading University and leading professional society results in a comprehensive international oil and gas conference tailored to benefit the industry and the local oil and gas engineering community.

This will also enable papers submitted in this conference to be part of OnePetro, the industry's leading online technical library. As in the previous two conferences, this event is conducted with the full cooperation and support from the national and international oil companies in Kuwait; KPC, KOC and subsidiaries, KFAS (Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Science), KISR (Kuwait Institute of Scientific Research) and Kuwait University.

KIPCE will feature over 10 technical sessions during the three days. The conference agenda will include technical sessions and panel sessions with industry and technical leaders sharing their views on key technical issues.

An exhibition will be held in conjunction with the conference where organisations will have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to conference delegates and industry senior management.
